Randa HAINES screens her multiple Oscar nominated film “Children of a Lesser God” |

On January 27th, Randa HAINES presented her award winning film, “Children of a Lesser God” and spoke to EICAR students about its production and her creative process. She focused on working with the two leads, William Hurt and the newcomer Marlee Matlin, who under Haines’ direction went on to win an Oscar for her role, launching a long and varied career.
Throughout her career, Randa Haines has moved with ease between feature films and television, directing such films as The Doctor, Wrestling Ernest Hemingway, Dance With Me, The Ron Clark Story, and the highly acclaimed telefilm Something About Amelia.
