Master of Fine Arts
is an highly individualized 2 year program

designed to give students professional preparation for a career in film, television or digital media. This is accomplished through theoretical courses and practical exercises as well as extensive "hands-on-film" work where students have the opportunity to master the technical and aesthetic principles of filmmaking.

  • The first year consists of courses in the key disciplines of filmmaking as well as hands-on-film exercises and shorts.
  • In the second year, the emphasis is on the student’s thesis project in the area of their specialization – directing, production, cinematography, screenwriting or editing.  Students have additional required courses in their specialization as well as workshops, and one-to-one tutoring. Students also have the possibility, when available, to work on professional productions, as interns.
