each approximately 11 weeks long.
Generally, the first term begins the second week of October; the second, the second week of January; the third runs through April to the beginning of July.
The first term consists of theoretical courses with filmed exercises.
The second term is a combination of theoretical and hands-on-film courses. The emphasis of the third term is primarily hands-on-film production but will include workshops, specialisation modules, and master classes given by guest professors, all of whom are film professionals.

The third term is dedicated to hands-on production where students actively participate in all aspects of the preparation, shooting and post-production of student films.
For students in the advanced programs and meeting the prerequisites, film productions begin in November and run until the following September.
Mid-term examinations are held the 5th week of each term.
