  Douglas Kennedy at the International Film School of Paris December 5, 2008
  The internationally renown writer addressed an eager audience of captivated students

    Last November 27, Douglas Kennedy, gave an informal talk on the trials and tribulations of the creative writer in the age of visual story telling.

    Born in Manhattan in 1955, he was educated at The Collegiate School and graduated magna cum laude from Bowdoin College in 1976. He also spent a year studying at Trinity College Dublin. At the age of 28, he decided to write full time. After several radio plays for the BBC and one stage play - Send Lawyers, Guns and Money, he decided to switch direction and wrote a narrative travel book, Beyond the Pyramids.

    In 1988, he and his wife moved to London. Two more non-fiction titles and a novel :
    The Dead Heart followed. Then, in 1997, The Big Picture was published to international acclaim. His subsequent novels include The Job, The Pursuit of Happiness, Temptation, A Special Relationship, State of the Union, The woman in the fifth. His work has been translated into eighteen languages.

Bob, a distinguished personality in the world of cinema, will be a key actor in the implementation of this school’s policy, which is to train our students for specific jobs in the film and audiovisual industry. Bob has considerable experience in various fields of the cinema industry, as a director and producer, but also as a scriptwriter and actor (you will find his résumé below).
